Rebranded QUMAS Expanding Operations in Ireland on Heels of Acquisition by Dassault Systèmes
The past 10 months have been exciting at QUMAS, one of the leading suppliers of on-premise and cloud solutions for compliance, quality management, collaboration, and document management. Now QUMAS is an integral part of BIOVIA of Dassault Systèmes, the second largest software company with headquarters in Europe. Dassault Systèmes employs over 12,000 people and has over 190,000 enterprise customers. Revenues for Dassault Systèmes topped €2 Billion in 2013.
First, Accelrys acquired QUMAS in December of 2013. Then in April of 2014, Dassault Systèmes acquired Accelrys. In response to its acquisition, Dassault Systèmes created a new business unit called BIOVIA. The formation of BIOVIA has garnered a lot of attention in the life sciences community now that the QUMAS products, coupled with an extensive suite of Scientific Innovation Lifecycle Management solutions from Accelrys, plus Dassault Systèmes’ BioIntelligence activities and collaborative 3DEXPERIENCE technologies makes up the largest and deepest portfolio of solutions for the biological, chemical and material modeling, simulation, and product domains.
